New Website Design for Association of Zurich Museums

We collaborated close with Zürcher Museen and development partner Campfire on the website’s information architecture and wireframe design. We then redesigned their website’s user interface, as well as the content and social media curation approach. An important design feature that extends throughout the entire website is the blue frame, which is displayed when a hover effect occurs.

Most of the events were exhibited digitally during the coronavirus lockdown. Later, this digital service was kept as a new channel for the audience. The biggest challenge in designing the Zürcher Museen website was to present a variety of exhibitions and events and changing services. Predefined filtering techniques that were necessary to filter out exactly a specific exhibition or event were developed for the website. Clicking on any experience takes users to the specific information page. They can view and read details of the exhibition, including selected slide shows of images, recommendations, and links for further information. The detail page also includes a museum map provided by Google.
