Zumikon
Refresh for Zumikon
Zumikon asked us to refresh their outdated identity. We started working to make a gentle redesign of their popular coat of arms, which was later incorporated into their identity. The emblem was first mentioned in 1740 in a coat of arms book. The key symbol was probably taken from the coat of arms of the church in neighboring Zollikon, as both municipalities belonged to the area of influence of the Zurich Grossmünster. The keys in both cases refer to the insignia of the apostle Peter. We combined the emblem with a clean and modern wordmark and developed a new colorful palette, which was used in their communication tools. The new visual language includes signage, stationery, brochures, and a website.
Zumikon is a municipality in the canton of Zurich in the district of Meilen. It is located in the Pfannenstiel region in Switzerland.
