Toggenburger
Sustainability Label InCycle
With the new storage process for embedding environmental CO2 in concrete, Toggenburger is already helping to sustainably improve the CO2 balance in the production of first-class concrete. Through the latest storage technology, up to 17 kilograms of CO2 can be stored in one cubic meter of InCycle concrete. The 100% biogenic CO2 comes from a Swiss industrial plant. The company, which is still owner-managed today, was founded by Emil Toggenburger almost 90 years ago and started with only a dozen employees. Today, Toggenburger employs over 350 people with a wide variety of professions.
For Toggenburger, we designed a green label that highlights the innovative process of embedding CO2 into their products while also emphasizing the company’s commitment to sustainability. The challenge was to develop a narrative that would form the basis for the InCycle design. We created a dynamic arrow pointing upward to illustrate a process cycle representing the embedded CO2.
