Silentium Label Design

The roots of the company Bataillard has its origins in the 16th century. The Lucerne-based company Businger & Cie ensured, as a logistics and service provider in the North-South trade, the navigation on Lake Lucerne. Later, Businger became a food wholesaler and wine importer. The company then changed hands to Alfred Curti-Brunner and in 1930, Bataillard & Cie was established.

Inspired by the octagon geometry of castle constructions in southern Italy, we designed a new iconic logo for the “Silentium” red wine, a “Primitivo” which is a variety of red grape grown across Pugila. The symbol is accompanied by the logotype serif Trajan Pro to complete the new look. The wine range also includes a riserva and a white “Greco di Tufo”.
